The following changes to the Ace Speedway Rules have been made for the 2010 season. These are the only additions to the existing rules and will be used from here on out.
MODIFIED
– Vortek heads will not be allowed.
LIMITED SPORTSMAN
- ‘Built’ engines will be allowed rod lengths between 5.7″ and 6.25″ inches in measurement.
MINI STOCKS
- functional brakes on all four wheel will be required.
- after market body panels will be allowed – must be stock appearing
- weight may be added to offset competitive advantage due to lighter body panels
- if fiberglass roof is used – 1/8″ metal plate is required over driver compartment – full coverage recommended
EXTREMES
- may alter dash for comfort purposes (ie. leg room)
- alterations in dash allowed for cross bar of rollcage
- tire compound should be same as manufacturer specs (subject to track test)
- engine compression reading must not be more than 5% of factory specs
- driver eligibility restricted to entry level only – competitors in other divisions not allowed participation
- violations will be subject to penalties including forfieture of winnings/ points, suspensions, even banishment
