Labor Day at Ace Filled with Fire

With only days to prepare after the demise and cancellation of ASA and its Modified tour, Ace’s Labor Day ‘Run what you Brung’ was filled with some exciting racing, great kid and family fun, and a good crowd of familiar and new faces.
“We tried very hard to keep things light and fun,” said Larry Rose. “I was happy to see so many new families, and intend to continue trying to attract new young energy to Ace at an affordable price.”

Hey I just wanted to say thanks ! I went to Ace tonight 4 the first time in around 5 years . Me my dad and my wife . Ive been wanting to go back for some time but i work on friday nights so its hard to get there and get to work in time . Anyway I know the car count wasent as good as yhou hoped for but i just wanted to say that i think you did a great job . There are going to be people saying it was a joke and that it wasent worth it but from a true race fan you guys did a great job ! There was good racing and excitment . the late model with the modifieds was pretty cool lol . Im going to make a suggestion though . Have another one of these races , GIve guys a few months to know about it and make it on a sunday when i can come watch lol . but promote this like crazy and if at all possible have a good payout . I know im not a track owner and have no idea how much you guys spend but i think if you can save enough you can get alot of guys interested in this . i honestly think with more time alot more guys would have came out . real drivers race no matter what , at least i did when i raced . anyway enough rambling i just basically wanted to say great job and i will be back when i can !
P.S. Have you ever thought of maybe a enduro event , You could start out with a v-8 up to 100 cars 2,500 hundred to win and limit the rules other than safety , race rules included . Caraway used to have them i think they paid 5,000 to win but it would pack the stands and they would have about 70 cars show up . it was exciting . also had a 4 cylinder enduro and had 74 cars start . but only had that once for some reason . anyway just some ideas . watching tracks on tv doing these wacky races like chain racing , enduros , skid plate racing , things like that bring alot of peopel in but as you know it dosent happen over night . keep up the good work and try different things and people will be tearing down the gate to get in !
