Points

POINTS RULES

1. To be eligible for points, driver and car must start the race.

2. Points will be awarded for finishing position only.

3. All cars must come to the starting grid under their own power.

4. If a car that comes to the starting grid under its own power does not leave the starting grid, drops out during the pace laps, or does not complete a green flag lap, that car’s will not receive pay or points.

5. Any car that takes the green will be considered to have started the race. If that car leaves the starting grid for any reason (enter the pits, etc.) that car will be placed last in the starting lineup in relation to other cars that leave the starting grid. If that car does not re-enter the starting grid that car will not receive pay or points. Absolutely no car for any reason will be permitted to start the race after the green flag has been displayed not in the initial starting grid or starting lineup. If the car takes the initial green flag start under its own power and does not complete a lap, that car’s finishing position will be determined by its starting position in relation to other cars that do not complete a green flag lap.

6. A driver will be credited only with points earned by the car in which he/she started the feature race, and the starting driver will be credited with all points earned by that car in that race. A driver cannot receive points for more than one car in the race.

7. Driver changes will not be permitted from the time a car comes onto the track for the starting line-up, until after the car completes its first scored lap.

8. LMSC Points will be awarded in ascending order with the last place car receiving two points, next to last receiving four points and will move up through the field in two point increments. For example the feature winner of a ten car field will receive twenty NASCAR points while the feature winner of a twenty five car field would receive fifty NASCAR points. Modified, Limited Sportsman, Mini Stock and X-treme points will be awarded points the same as LMSC.

9. In order to receive point fund money you may be required to display the division sponsor’s decal on your car in a designated area for the entire season. Failure to display such decal will result in the forfeiture of any post season sponsor point fund moneys.

10. Rookie of the year: Any driver desiring to be a candidate for the rookie of the year in any division must complete a rookie application. This application must be submitted to the track office before the first race of each season.
