York Wins at Ace 5/9/08

ALTAMAHAW, N.C  Reidsville’s Jason York finally turned his bad luck around Friday night at Ace. After weeks of breaking parts and being drove a little too hard by his competitor, it all came together for Jason. Jason led the last 50 laps of  the 75 lap feature. There was good racing between the top three of Jason, Rodney Cook and Robert Turner. After qualifying in the first position, his start was mandated to fourth after a draw among the top five qualifiers.


Rodney Cook’s second place was his fourth our of five races. Robert Turner, Speedy Faucette and Jesse Ingle,  III round out the top five positions.


Burlington’s Brad Allen won his second race of the season. Cleveland, NC native, Josh Nichols finished second followed by Burlington’s Gary Young, Jr.


Bobby Griffin of Eden also won his second of the season. Ziggy Zimmerman of Burlington and John Moore of Pelham took second and third after Kevan Combs and Josh Lowder were disqualified following postrace inspection.


Jason Cook of Mebane won his first race of the season in a tough race against Mocksville’s A. J. Sanders and Elon’s Chad Sykes.
Michael Neal and Barry Cobb, Jr. were both winners in the twin Xtreme races with Ed Peters winning the Southeast Mini Cup division.
